Maui Wedding Location Feature - Haiku Mill

When most people think of a Maui Wedding, they immediately think of the beach. While oceanfront locations are nice, there is nothing that compares to the Haiku Mill.  I think this quote from their website describes it well: "Surrounded by Old World elegance, ornate hand-picked treasures and fragrant jasmine and gardenia blossoms, guests are swept away in the spirit of romance." I had the opportunity to spend a few days at the Haiku Mill last month as a part of a wedding photography workshop and I just fell in love with the location. It is peaceful, private and feels like you were somehow magically transported to a secret garden somewhere in Europe. If I could plan my wedding day all over again, I would choose the Haiku Mill.  It really is the best of both worlds, you and your wedding guests get to enjoy the beaches and the beauty of Maui while you are here AND you get to have your wedding in a magical place away from the crowds, wind and sand.

During a break in the schedule of my workshop I walked the grounds with my camera to try to capture some of the beauty of the location. There was too much for me to get it all in just a short break and it is even better in person, so if you are considering a Maui wedding, make sure the Haiku Mill is on your list of locations to visit!

You can't tell from the angle the photo is taken, but that bright spot behind the chandelier is a waterfall, all lit up :)
