Seaside Serenity - The Weller Family's Maui Portraits

When you stand on the shore of Lake Michigan, it's just water as far as the eye can see. Though the fresh water in their Great Lake State home may own the Weller Family's hearts, they made room for another body of water. Falling in love with the South Pacific, they have now visited all the Hawaiian islands that you can. Wanting to commemorate this trip with a Maui Family Portrait, we were touched they chose Karma Hill Photography to capture the occasion for them. Blessed with a stunning evening on Southside Beach, the setting couldn't have been more perfect. With no shortage of things to be thankful for in their lives - 23 amazing years of marriage, kids growing up to be great people, a daughter preparing for the end of her high school career - these moments of family bonding near their favorite ocean are something to cherish. Best Is Yet To Come - Courtney & Sam's Maui Beach Wedding

Finding true love in the dog park, Courtney and Sam knew they were meant to be. Clearly head over heels to anyone who sees them together, we have no doubts that these two will enjoy a long and happy marriage with one another. But first, a Maui Beach Wedding!!! Having been born here before moving away, Sam's parents have since returned to living on the island so it was an easy decision to come here. Dream Scene - The Hernandez Family's Maui Portraits

On a gorgeous evening, with the palms softly swaying, we had the pleasure of meeting the Hernandez crew for their Maui Family Portraits. Gifted this trip to paradise by her work, Karen was so excited to revel in the island paradise with her beloved family. (Awesome workplace you have, by the way!) Though they have been to Oahu before, this was their first time on the Magic Isle and it treated them well. Despite previously having had portraits taken on our neighboring island, they endured down pouring rain through their whole session so this time was like a dream come true. Graced with a beautiful day and gorgeously lit evening, this was the portrait session they have been waiting for. With two of the best-behaved children and an adorable set of grandparents, the California six-some was an absolute blast to capture. The smiles were bright, and the laughter easy. Birthday Beach Vibes - - The McIlroy Family's Maui Portraits

With the endless energy only a toddler can possess, Atlas kept us all entertained as we captured Maui Family Portraits for our new friends from Alberta. The McIlroy crew was so excited to commemorate this special trip with their first ever professional photos as a family of three. Having gotten married on Kauai seven years ago, Devon and Raham have a strong connection to the island and have kept other Hawaiian stops on their bucket list. In honor of her lucky number 32 birthday, it was so wonderful to make the trip to Maui and Molokai and introduce their spirited three year old to a place they hold dear. Endless Possibilities - Amanda's Maui Senior Portraits

With an incredible life spreading out before her, it's no wonder Amanda's smile shines so bright. After some not so great experiences with professional photos, the Chapell Family was more than ready to give it another shot. So, the adorable Arkansas crew thought there was no better time than while in paradise! The Magic Of Marriage - Julie & Daniel's Maui Elopement

Reveling in the privacy that Ironwoods Beach allowed them, Julie and Daniel were happy beyond words as they enjoyed their Maui Elopement. Their story actually began years ago at another wedding, for mutual friends, where the bride and groom there had also met a wedding. What are the odds??? With that kind of magic surrounding them, it's no wonder the dazzling New Zealand duo were treated to a spectacular evening along the Kapalua coast. Actually living in Australia now, the adventurous pair were so excited to share these incredible moments together for their big day. Getting ready in private areas, they were stealing conversations with one another through the door as they prepared for the moment that would take them to Mr. and Mrs. talks of make-up (hers), and wardrobe malfunctions (his), only added to the anticipation and when Daniel laid eyes on Julie as she strolled towards him, he couldn't wait to make her his wife. Beacon Of Beauty - Abigail & Stephen's Maui Maternity Portraits

Where do we begin with Abigail and Stephen? First, they are one of the sweetest couples you will ever meet and we absolutely adored them! Second, that dress!!! The color, the fit, the flow - it was perfect!!! We cannot say enough about the color combination these Nebraska natives chose. Stunning!!! On island to celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary and babymoon, our fabulous new friends were loving the morning Baldwin beach graced them with. First Of Many - The Ojala Family's Maui Portraits

To celebrate Baby Kennedy's first time on Maui, the Ojala Family wanted to commemorate the trip with a Maui Family Portrait. Also their first professional photo as a family of three! What a wonderful milestone! At eight months old, this little ray of sunshine was good as gold while we captured her precious smiles. Though she had been getting over cold, we could not have asked for a better baby model. Adding to the fun, the rest of Kindra's family joined in for some family bonding photos as well. A Reason To Smile - Aubrey & Benedict's Maui Engagement Portrait

With a strong connection to the sea, Aubrey and Benedict are completely at home next to the swaying water. Regular visitors to our beautiful island, there were engaged at Mama's Fish House last year and couldn't wait to return and commemorate the moment with a Maui Engagement Portrait. When on the island, they always stay at the Westin Ocean Villas so they can walk right out and snorkel the day away without having to go anywhere. Donning the shark jacket and gorgeous floral dress that Benedict's parents gifted them, the adorable California pair were the cutest thing you'll ever see. Needing no encouragement, they were loving and sweet with one another. It's safe to say they are head over heels and so ready to marry one another. After thirteen years, and a darling love story that began in college, their wedding will be worth the wait. Falling for one another through a plate glass window - his fencing class taking place just before her salsa class - they were so happy to have found each other. Of course, their friend turned realtor and hopefully minister may have helped speed the process along by announcing Aubrey's feelings for Benedict. The groom-to-be couldn't believe it and wasted no time in sweeping her off her feet. Theirs is a love story for the books and we were so excited to witness this moment of celebrating that love. Candid Collaboration - The Pugsley's Maui Family Portraits

When your family has as much energy and personality as the Pugsley Family does, it's best to just let them do their thing. As a lifestyle photographer herself, this proud mama bear from Alberta was perfectly fine with that. We chose to focus less on the posed photos and instead let everyone be natural for their Maui Family Portraits. It was a hit! Easily laughing and playing together, it was clear as day that this troop absolutely adores one another, and loves hanging out. Whether it's dancing with dad or frolicking with mom, these terrific trio made up of Norah, Oliver, and Hazel, was not short on moments of pure magic. Celebrating nothing more than family bonding time in paradise, the Pugsley's are avid travelers and often find themselves seeking warmer destinations when winter rears it's head back home. Too Cute For Words - The Rider Family's Maui Portraits

A month shy of his first birthday, young Carter was the star of the show during the Rider's Maui Family Portraits. Past due for some professional photos, we were so excited to hang out with this cool crew from Colorado. Though not a big fan of the loud crashing waves, Carter was an absolute gem throughout the whole session. Impressive considering his natural body clock would have had him well in bed by then. With whale watching filling their time, and a luau on the agenda after our date with them, they were certainly making the most of their island retreat. Warmth From Within - The Ivey Family's Maui Portraits

The only thing brighter than the Hawaiian sunshine are the smiles gracing the faces of each member of the Ivey Family. After we managed to re-schedule their Maui Family Beach Portraits because of inclement weather, we were so glad they were treated to a beautiful morning to enjoy. The newly designated morning was touch and go at first, but warmed up in to a spectacular show that allowed the gorgeous Alaskans to fall in love with Southside Beach as much as us. Of course, love obviously comes naturally to this quartet as there was no doubt that there's an unlimited amount of unconditional love shared between the four. We Know The Way - The Peeters Family's Maui Portrait

In her element, the Peeters' Family's young little Ali is a natural born beach queen. At least, she thinks so given how much she loves Disney's Moana. As she prepares for her Moana themed second birthday party coming up next month, her first trip to Maui seemed to be well timed. Though her outfit wasn't her favorite, she was still cute as can be as she strutted her stuff along the sand. A Tale Of Two Hearts - Maxine & Jordan's Maui Elopement

Having met four years ago thanks to Maxine's nursing co-worker...Jordan's sister...the adorable duo were so excited for their Maui Elopement. Preferring to not be the center of attention, and not wanting to manage a big wedding or narrowing down to a small wedding, they knew that an intimate affair was exactly in order. Enjoying a stress-free planning experience, the biggest task they faced was finding Max's wedding dress...which was no longer available when it was time to order it. Finally tracking it down across state lines, it was the perfect compliment to Jordan's perfect moisture wicking suit. Something every groom should consider! It was amazing!!! The soft cloud cover and filtered light made for a dreamy scene that lent itself to an ethereal and romantic setting. These two were so sweet with one another and we were so thrilled to share in this moment with them. Cliffs of Destiny - Ashley & Bryan's Maui Wedding

With thanks to her best friend and his cousin, Ashley and Bryan found the love of their life in one another. Now, with the aforementioned matchmakers standing strong as Maid of Honor and Best Man, our gorgeous bride and groom reveled in the romance unfolding all around them during their Maui Wedding. Baby Blues & Beautiful Hues - The Grigsby Family's Maui Portraits

Ditching the Indiana winter for some fun in the sun, the Grigsby Family was all smiles when we caught up with them on Lahaina Shores Beach. Capturing the Maui Family Portrait for this whole crew was an absolute pleasure but there was one extra special star. Two year old, Parker, was a total riot as he frolicked with his family along the shore. With fabulous doting parents, and adoring relatives, he was in his element surrounded by the sand and sea.
