Picture Perfect Pair - Darren & Lindsay's Maui Honeymoon Portraits

It always happens when you least expect it...isn't that what they say? When Darren and Lindsay first met through mutual friends, neither was looking for love. Fate didn't care. The darling duo couldn't help but fall for one another three years ago and the rest is history. Celebrating their love with a dream wedding back home in Houston, they were blessed with perfect weather and relatives that made the trip from Indiana to witness their union. What could possibly top that, one would wonder? A honeymoon in paradise. Honored to capture their Maui Honeymoon Portraits, we were thrilled to get to know the vivacious pair that couldn't have possibly looked at one another with more adoration in their eyes. There was no shortage of laughter as the two donned their wedding attire to further commemorate this time in their lives. On a trip packed with incredible adventures like Hana, Haleakala, and whale watching, we were so excited to have this time with them on the dramatic Kanaha coast. Personality for days, there was never a dull moment with our darling new friends. We even got to capture Darren's socks! A wedding gift from his beloved bride, they honor one of his perfect pooches back home - Max. Don't worry, we won't tell fellow canine companion, May, so there won't be any jealousy issues. Morning's Magic - The Okland Family's Maui Portraits

Sometimes good things come to those who wait. We were actually supposed to meet the awesome Okland Family for their Maui Family Portrait on an earlier date but the weather was not being super cooperative. While it's not always possible, we can sometimes pull off a date switch in the hopes of a better scene. That's exactly what this gorgeous Iowa family got! With it being their second time on island, they knew how stunning our piece of paradise can be so they wanted to make sure and capture some of that magic. Blessed with a phenomenal clear day, Kanaha Beach was a shining star, setting the stage for what will hopefully be cherished images to reminisce over later. Seaside Stunners - Amy & John's Maui Elopement & Trash The Dress

Looking exquisite beside the sparkling sea, Amy joined hands with John as they prepared for their Maui Elopement. Preferring to avoid the stress and pressure of a large event, they chose to leave Ohio behind for a few days and instead enjoy an intimate celebration for two. With the sounds of the ukulele dancing on the breeze, they exchanged tears and vows as they took the next steps into their future. Rounding out their phenomenal wedding collection, they opted to have a 'Trash the Dress' session the morning after their wedding to take advantage of the bright blues present first thing in the morning. While this bride and groom are stunning, it's the love in their eyes that's most beautiful of all and we are so honored we got to capture it. Happy Haven In Winter - The Hayford Family's Maui Portraits

As a fabulous Christmas gift for their amazing dad and step mom, Brit and Christina were so excited to arrange a Maui Family Portrait for their troop. Escaping the winter back home, they reveled in the warmth and beauty of their first time on island. Loving the landscape, and the bonding time with the newest family member, the Hayford Family was all smiles as they played, walked, and laughed along the golden shore. Family Time in Paradise - The Shah Family's Maui Portraits

As parents we know, time spent with our children is precious. When you add in paradise as a setting and of course you want to freeze the moment to look back on later. For the Shah Family, this escape from Vancouver together was a much needed holiday away. Driftwood & Daydreams - The McNelis Family's Maui Portraits

As the sea swayed at their back, the McNelis Family focused on spending some quality time with one another on the shore. Three year old Rowan was on cloud nine as the gorgeous Kanaha Beach had a plethora of a driftwood to play with. A hit feature with any stick loving toddler. While the youngest little one, Maeve, soaked up the sights with her stunning eyes, mom and dad looked on with pride at both of their bundles of joy. With paradise setting the stage around them, the fun Washington family was all ready to hit the hiking trails after our Maui Family Portraits session in search of the Twin Falls. Not a bad way to spend a day, if we do say so ourselves. If only vacation never ended! At least incredible memories have been formed. Oh La La on Island - Kayla & Derek's Maui Wedding

With attention paid to every detail, Kayla and Derek joined loved ones along the golden coast of Southside Beach for their amazing Maui Wedding. After having a blast while getting ready at The Grand Wailea, the ceremony was a heartfelt display of pure love and excitement as laughter complimented the sweet sounds of the live ukulele music. Adding a touch of sentiment, Grandpa bestowed this beautiful bride with a special penny before the ceremony, as is the family's tradition. What an incredible day this Washington couple was blessed with. By the time we caught up with them for their 'Trash the Dress' portrait session a few days later, the smiles were ear to ear and down right contagious. Enjoying cloud nine, they were breathtaking for their photo shoot and allowed us to really push the boundaries while they let loose. What a morning, for quite the couple. A Playground In Paraside - The Jung's Maui Family Portrait

One of the perks to having two boys close in age is that they have a built-in...everything. From playing and running around, to rough housing and plotting, brothers have the potential to be the best of friends. For the youngsters in the Jung Family, it's obvious how much love there is between them. Having spent most of their vacation in the pool, these high spirited California kids were thrilled to play at the beach. Of course, as with most six and eight year olds, they could have done without the photos but they ended up being great sports for their Maui Family Portrait with mom and dad. The knowledge that an outing after the session for local favorite mochi may or may not have helped. ;o)

Anchors Away - The Morales Family's Maui Portraits

Sailing in to the Kahului harbor aboard an incredible cruise ship, the anticipation was high for the Morales Family. Rachel, the fabulous matriarch of the crew, had visited Hawaii years ago and wanted to share the magic with her three beautiful kids. All Roads Lead To The Longhorns - Sydney's Maui Senior Portrait

On a perfect clear day, we got to meet up with a bright shining star from Texas named Sydney. Lucky enough to have grandparents that live on Oahu, the three of them made the trip to our fair island for some R&R. Unavailable to make the trip herself, Sydney's mom gifted her with a Maui Senior Portrait to help celebrate this time in her life. With a path leading her to the University of Texas, her parents' alma mater, this incredible young lady will study engineering and, no doubt, make her mark on the world. Anniversary Adventure - The Hankins Family's Maui Portraits

It's been eight years since the Hankins Family was in Maui. As Alec and Brooke were too young to appreciate the majesty of the island back then, they developed a profound new love for the Magic Isle on this trip. Visiting from Texas, they were enthralled by all the activities there were to do, and places to see and explore. It was a trip to appease all. While the kids had fun being adventurous, mom and dad got to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary. 'You Had Me At Aloha' - The Daniels Family's Maui Portraits

The Daniels Family has so much to be proud of, and thankful for. Not only have both mom and dad recently completed their Masters Degrees, but they are also celebrating their second wedding anniversary. Oh yeah, and they have this adorable little guy named Wesley turning six months old to make their lives that much brighter. When trying to decide where to go to celebrate these fabulous milestones, Kira had a serendipitous moment with a t-shirt that would launch a family vacation. The cool cucumber's shirt that reads 'You had me at Aloha' was inspiration enough and brought them to this moment for their Maui Family Portrait. Baby Wesley was hysterical because no matter what we tried, he kept calm and carried on...without cracking a smile. Curious? Sure. Smiling? Not so much. That's alright. We got some moments of semi-smiles that are pure gold and will be hilarious to show off later in his life. Smiling or not, he is beautiful beyond words and is no doubt just taking it all in. I wouldn't be surprised if his words are something profound, given his level of awareness of the world around him. Sailing into Tomorrow - Emilie & Donatien's Maui Wedding

There are so many deciding factors that go in to choosing a wedding location but for Emilie and Donatien, there was really only one option. The place where it all began. Years ago, despite being from France, this sweet couple met while on our fair shores. They later moved to Montreal together where they have built a life, one that is now beginning a new chapter. In honor of the loved one that couldn't make the trip to witness this adventure, Emi and Don's beach spot was surrounded by paper boats they made. One for each beloved person the were thinking of. They weren't alone though, their Maui Wedding featured loved ones among the significant origami boats as well. With a love of boats, Emi was quite content to be married by the canoes that reside at Kanaha Beach. Don was quite content just to make his lovely wife happy. A ray of sunshine - Grace's Maui Senior Portraits

Grace is the sweetest, smartest, most beautiful, kind and thoughtful senior ever. I am not just saying that because she is my cousin either!! Being the second oldest of 29 cousins on my dad's side, I have gotten to watch many of my younger cousins grow up over the years. Grace has always been sweet but she is really coming in to her own and we are seeing glimpses of the self reliant adult she will become.  All set to attend college in the fall, this giving gal will not be working as a server or at Starbucks like most college kids. Grace wants to be a nurse, so she will be working with sick and elderly patients to make their day a little brighter.  She's a ray of sunshine for sure and her patients will be so lucky to be in her care. Life's Magical Moments - The Morrison's Maui Family Portrait

We had such a blast with the Morrison Family. As fellow parents of kids at the same pre-school, we can certainly relate to the adventure of raising two growing boys on this gorgeous island. Even so, I was still so honored when this amazing quartet chose Karma Hill Photography for their Maui Family Portrait. As any parent with multiple kids knows, when your first one is born, there is no shortage of photos documenting their every waking, and sometimes not-waking, movement. Once the second one comes along, you're so busy trying to figure out dinner, and diaper runs, and work, and how so much laundry can amass, and what that unidentified object stuck in your hair is that capturing your new precious angel's moments becomes a little harder. With that in mind, the Morrison Family wanted to take the opportunity to not only capture the family as a whole, but also get lots of shots of Baby Leo. Beach Beauty & A Bundle Of Joy - Jaime & Michael's Maui Maternity Portraits

There is something so profound about preparing to become a parent. The scales tip back and forth between anxious and excited, nervous and ecstatic. There's nothing else like it. We love getting to share in this truly magnificent time with our clients. Jaime and Michael traveled from L.A. to enjoy their babymoon and, of course, were brilliant to want Maui Maternity Portraits. On a soft lit day, with the rugged coastline for scenery, the Chau family got to enjoy portraits with their very own Maui Family Photographer. Emily wanted some unique senior portraits and when she found out her family was going to Maui on vacation, she knew it would be the perfect place for them! I am so happy she found us, it was such a pleasure to work with this mature and sweet young lady.  I just loved her flowy dress, it worked so great in the wind and added a little extra fun to her photos. Maui Family Portraits with the Dark Family!

The Dark family came to Maui for a big celebration and decided they needed Maui family portraits to document it! The are celebrating their 15 year wedding Anniversary as well as birthdays for both mom and dad! They rented a beautiful home in Haiku so we decided to stay in the North Shore area for their Maui family portraits. Baldwin Beach was beautiful this particular morning but a little too windy to be comfortable. Staff photographer Cheynice searched out the calmness at Kanaha Beach with the Dark family. It was still a little windy but we were able to get some absolutely gorgeous shots of this beautiful family. We love their choice of colors and style and just adore their pictures.
