Happy Hawaii Five-O - Andrea & Kevin's Maui Couples Portraits

What better way to celebrate a milestone birthday than to cruise the island in a beautiful roadster. A cool car for a classy couple. Armed with accessories to match, Andrea and Kevin's Maui Couples Portraits look reminiscent of a 1950's classic film. Visiting the island from California, these two love birds danced along the coast, strummed an ukulele along the shore, and strolled along the beach. Not bad for one evening's enjoyment. Andrea and Kevin, you look young and in love, and we couldn't be happier for you. We can't wait to see you two back! Happy Birthday, Kevin!!!
Mahalo and Warm Aloha!!!

Victoria & Vidas' Maui Engagement Portraits!

What a beautiful morning for Maui engagement portraits. Victoria and Vidas were recently engaged and decided what better place to have their pictures taken than in Maui? They originally wanted Baldwin Beach but due to all of our recent storms the beach has pretty much washed away. The backup plan however was just as spectacular though. Makena Landing is so beautiful in the morning and we started quite a bit early in order to beat the crowds. Mahalo Victoria & Vidas for choosing us for your Maui Engagement Portraits! We hope you enjoyed your time in Maui!

Hawaiian Honeymoon - Jennifer and Bob's Portrait Preview by Maui Photographer Karma Hill

Jennifer and Bob were married back home ing PA, but wanted to also capture some amazing images of their honeymoon. They asked their wedding photographer back home to help them choose a photographer in Maui and so they were actually referred to me by their photographer who found my site on a Google search! How cool is that! So Mahalo to Selena J Photography for sending them my way! Honeymoon portraits is a great way to round out your wedding album to tell the complete story of your journey together. I just loved Jennifer's dress, it was actually perfect for the beach with the sheer fabric and asymmetrical hemline. Bob looked dashing in his lightweight seersucker suit and he kept it casual by wearing a crisp white t-shirt underneath. I had so much fun with Bob and Jennifer, they were so sweet and funny and put up with me making them trek into rugged places with their nice clothes on :) Thank you Bob and Jennifer for choosing me to capture your Maui Honeymoon Portraits!

Meghan & Brendan's Maui Shoot Part 1 - Maui Wedding Photographer - Karma Hill

Once a year I set up a shoot to experiment with new locations, equipment and lighting I always ask my  fellow wedding industry professionals to be a part of it.  This year Della from Dellables provided the amazing floral and Adiel from Island Bridal Hair brought together the "island vintage" look on the bride that I was wanting flawlessly.  I was lucky to have my dear friend Meghan and her husband Brendan on Maui for a visit and to be this year's models.  They were married this summer and are still newlyweds so that glow has obviously not worn off yet!  This is the first of 3 posts to feature this shoot.  Our first location was Makena Landing in South Maui.  I had never shot there before, but always wanted to, it has really cool lava rock formations, green areas and a huge rock staircase going up a hill across the street. Then we headed out to some sugar cane fields on the way to the north shore, I had always wanted to shoot next to the fields when they were in bloom and this was my chance!  Part 2 coming tomorrow!

This was my favorite! So sweet and happy!

The Rock and Roll Bouquet!

Adiel doing her magic!

Stunning!

This was such an amazing bouquet, love the protea and the orchid combo!

I love Maui in the winter when the mountains are so green.  This did have a little help from the "Hawaiianize" Kubota Lightroom Preset :)

This is literally on the side of the road, cars where whizzing by me honking and hollering congrats to them, you could feel the love!

look at the eyes, so beautiful!!
