We loved welcoming this Alberta crew to DT Fleming Beach for their Maui Family Portraits as they celebrated Jackie & Simon's 30th anniversary. We see family portraits with young kids all the time. As parents, we instinctively want to capture those moments of childhood because they're so fleeting. But what about the amazing adults those kids grow to be? We love that the Wallan family took the opportunity on their anniversary trip to freeze this moment in time with their children. Hey, they may be young adults but they'll always be their parent's kids! The marathon of parenthood is never over but the roles and relationships change and evolve as our children grow. Instead of photographing the carefree moments of youth, it's about capturing the spirited young adults they are, and looking forward to the mature adults they will become. Mom and Dad now get to keep images of their blossoming son, daughter...and daughter's boyfriend...as they prepare to make their own way in the world. If they look closely enough though, they can still catch a glimpse of the silly kids they once were. Mahalo Wallan Family, it's been our pleasure. Happy Anniversary!!! Warm Aloha!!!
