I first met Gina when I was about 6 months pregnant with my second son. I was shooting a wedding on the island of Lanai and my dear friend Adiel who is a hair and make up artist, just happened to be there as well doing the hair and makeup for a different wedding. We could not believe the luck that we were both there the same day, so we decided to make a girls weekend out of it! Gina came along with Adiel and even though I had not met her before that weekend, I felt like we were instant friends. Gina is just like that, she is so sweet and warm, she makes you feel comfortable right away and keeps you laughing all the time. Fast forward, almost two years later and now Gina is the pregnant one and it was time to shower her for her upcoming bundle of joy (the gender will be a secret until D-day)!
Adiel planned and hosted the shower, which took place at my studio in Wailuku. Adiel outdid herself with a green and yellow owl themed shower complete with a milk and cookies station, mimosa station and yummy food that she and her sister made themselves! A few days before the shower, I took Gina for a walk around Wailuku and did a fun maternity portrait session with her that we turned into an owl themed slideshow that played during her shower. It was a beautiful and fun time had by all. Congrats Gina and Jordan, we can't wait to meet the little mr. or miss soon!!
