I must admit that when I learned that Tyler and Leah were both in the armed services, I expected them to be a lot more straight laced and conservative, maybe a bit serious, I think I may have seen too many movies because those are adjectives that I would not use to describe them at all! These two were so much fun, happy, romantic and most of all SO in LOVE!! Leah is a Navy flight surgeon and Tyler is a Marine pilot, when they first met he wowed her with his knowledge of military history and showed off his flight skills by giving her a personal demonstration. You can tell these two love adventure, beyond the thrill of flying planes, Tyler proposed to Leah while they were underwater scuba diving! Her first thought was, "I can't believe you brought the ring down here!" and her second thought was "YES!!" I had so much fun photographing and getting to know this couple, CONGRATS to you both and thank you for your service to our country!

I really love your work on this wedding. When you did the sunset photographs, did you use a strobist setup for your lighting? The skies are simply gorgeous!
Thanks Amy! I am a lighting minimalist, this is a simple speedlight on a light stand fired remotely, some with a soft box light modifier.
