I met the Aker family on an absolutely perfect Maui evening. The light was soft, the breeze was light and the sunset was spectacular! They drove from Kaanapali to one of my absolute favorite South Maui beaches. I do always recommend this if you have the opportunity. It is not that the West Maui beaches are not nice, it is just that the South Maui beaches I have listed on my website are so much better for photography related needs. The weather is consistent, the beaches are less crowded, larger and offer more variety of scenery. Thanks Aker for making the drive, I think it was well worth it!!
