I drive all over the island for photo shoots, so I listen to a lot of radio. My favorite to stations are the Public radio stations, HPR 1 and 2. So when I heard about the opportunity to support public radio and participate in a farm to fork dinner, I jumped at it! Hawaii Public Radio hosted this amazing dinner at Kupa'a Farm in Kula Maui. After a tour of the farm, we literally dined outdoors, in the organic farmlands, a family style table right next to the food growing in the ground. All the ingredients (including the after dinner coffee!) were sourced right from the farm. Honu Cuisine prepared it and it was some of the most amazing fresh veggies I have ever had!! After dinner we were treated to a talk by an astronomer Harriet Witt, I learned SO much and have never seen stars so bright before. It was a magical evening, I met new friends and learned so much, mahalo Hawaii Public Radio for hosting!!
